Launched “Bean There”, Abela’s home-grown café

Abela & Co is delighted to announce the grand opening of its home-grown cafe, "Bean There," located within the premises of Specialized Rehabilitation Hospital by Capital Health. This exciting new venture brings together Abela & Co's culinary expertise and a passion for creating exceptional dining experiences within a healthcare setting.

Bean There aims to provide a warm and inviting space where hospital visitors, patients, and staff can relax, unwind, and indulge in a range of delicious, freshly brewed coffees, delectable pastries, and nourishing snacks. The cafe is thoughtfully designed to address the unique and evolving needs of healthcare professionals and hospital visitors and enhance the overall guest experience.

We are thrilled to introduce Bean There as an integral part of Capital Health Hospital. At Abela & Co, our vision is to create the space where all who work in, or visit, the healthcare setting can step away to refresh, unwind and reconnect. Whether you’re a clinician, a patient, a family member or part of the larger care community, spending downtime effectively can have a positive impact on mental health, emotional wellbeing and productivity. With Bean There, we are able to extend our commitment to exceptional dining experiences within the healthcare sector. We believe that a well-crafted cup of coffee and a satisfying snack can provide a moment of comfort and respite for individuals within the hospital community.

Bean There will feature a carefully curated menu, highlighting a variety of specialty coffees crafted by skilled baristas, complemented by a selection of wholesome pastries, sandwiches, and salads. The cafe will cater to different dietary preferences, offering options for both indulgence and health-conscious choices.

In addition to providing a delightful culinary experience, Bean There is committed to maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and safety. The cafe strictly adheres to rigorous sanitation protocols, ensuring a clean and secure environment for all visitors. 

Moreover, Bean There encourages choosing healthy ways of eating. It pursues the SEHHI program which was launched by the Abu Dhabi Public Health Centre (ADPHC). The program aims to encourage the community to make informed decisions about their diet and improve overall health. It involves a classification process for food items based on nutritional criteria and provides guidance to food outlets. ADPHC emphasizes the importance of nutrition in preventing lifestyle diseases and creating a healthier society.

"Bean There” is more than just a cafe; it is a space designed to uplift spirits and create moments of comfort and connection. We are dedicated to ensuring that each visit to Bean There is a pleasant experience, and we look forward to becoming an integral part of the Capital Health Hospital community.

Bean There will be located in the ground floor lobby of Capital Health Hospital and will operate from 7 am – 8 pm Saturday – Thursday. All visitors are invited to explore the menu, savour the flavours, and experience the inviting ambiance of Bean There.
